I Have been asked two questions.
1- Why do I call my information a webletter
2- Why is it not sent out the same time every month.
Replying ~
1. This is not a news letter. You don't need me to learn the news. It's all over the place. And any news I would repeat might not be to your interest.
2- I write as a result of my investigation of how and why we do things and other humanities. I like to explore the whys of what we do and through understanding of these processes, to use that which we have for greater self fulfillment.
I fancy myself some sort of artist in this respect, and as such, an artist paints when the mood or inspiration presents. Before I write I give deep thoughts to my mental processes, and especially to the subject matter I am to share. To begin with everything is a process. But that's of no importance right now.
My webletter this November is about the Law Of Attraction.
It is so prominent, in so many undertakings, and in my opinion is terribly misunderstood.. even to those who profess to live by and disseminate its “laws”.
To start with, there can be no “law” which has any variables, because such variables challenge the word law. A law in scientific terms is something that can be “set up” as an experiment, if you will, that will yield exact results each time.
Since mental activity differs with each person, the only possible law is the law of what to do, which presumably will yield like results. But since the LOA is interpreted subjectively, by each reader, no exact results are possible. Although promised.
It is in itself, a form of self deception. But being backed by good motives and thus because of the good results intended, it seems to be infallible. We all know that the road to disaster is filled with good intentions. But it is not my intention to be negative, only to be clear. In clarity there is ultimate possibility.
Having prefaced that, I have the great honor to present a small forum, with myself as the moderator and my two guests, Laurov Attraction and Anne Accident.
Welcome to my forum, it's a pleasure to have you here, to clear the air of interpretations of the Law of Attraction and how it is entwined with Anne Accident.
To start, let me ask Laurov what you think of this massive movement towards the trend to implement the laws as prescribed by a book called “The Secret”
Laurov:
I think it's a big misunderstanding, frankly. But I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings who have bought into it. Especially if the method or procedure produces positive results for them.
Adam?
What do you mean a big misunderstanding?
Well, what I mean is this LOA phenomena has always existed. It is no secret to those who succeed. In Napoleon Hills earth shattering manifesto, Think and Grow Rich he asks in nearly every chapter, if not page, have you realized the secret.
The secret is Action! And is as you Adam, have written in your version and explanation of the LOA, in your minibook, Act And Get Rich.
Adam:
Exactly, and thanks for the plug.
Laurov:
But before Action of course there must be a plan. A plan has a goal. Otherwise it's not a plan. A plan is born from a desire or a dream. And as Napoleon so firmly implants .. a definiteness of purpose.
Anne Accident and I are like weather. There is always weather. And we, like weather are hovering, ready to make our entry when conditions permit. If you engage in Rain Dances, long enough, you will get rain, and firmly believe your dancing was fruitful. But that's not a mental process, as proposed or being discussed here.
In the simplest terms. A fellow meets a girl in church or a bar, wherever. In this example the persons are putting themselves in an arena to exact a particular outcome. And in that desire, plan and action, the phenomena of the LOA is enhanced. Still, there is required action for any consequential interaction. Bomb out or successful. But there is always the chance that the LOA will attract bad or evil consequences; in that these type of more direct influences of the LOA push the envelope, so to speak.
This differs where the LOA would manifest with no thought to the LOA, but only the thought to be successful, or accomplish some undertaking. In fact, unaware of or with no thought of any LOA existence or influence. Everyone hopes for good luck. Which by the way is our 1000 times removed, great, great, great original ancestor. Go back in history as far as you will. and you will find references to good and bad luck, fate, kismet and all the rest. Not the least of which was referred to and still is quite about, The Universal Law of Cause And Effect.
But it's not as if you go to a casino with a positive attitude. Although any undertaking must or should incorporate a positive and successful goal. As you can see as action differs, from the more physically direct, or simpler encounters, to more complicated distant visions with elaborate and deliberate actions, the more likely Anne and I are to manifest. And with greater surprise relative to the protracted actions.
Adam:
Anne- what are your thoughts about all this?
Well you know I'm quite a bit older than Laurov. That is, I've been around forever. And what the results of Anne Accident's have been over time, as some arcane secret, has now been modernized and packaged, for public sale.
How can there be a secret to basically the universal law of cause and effect. And even it, which is incontrovertible, doesn't preclude the fact that for every cause there is actually quite more than one effect. And that's where I come in. More advancements have been the result of me, Anne Accident, than those actually planned for.
Adam; Well I find this quite enlightening and I get the impression that both you and Laurov are related.
Anne: Yes in fact Laurov is my recently reincarnated alter phenomena. As I said I've been around forever. But, new buzzwords, for the new millennium, to sell more books and programs. People forget the majority of inventions and such, so many like 3m's post it notes and a litany of other items were the result of my appearance...Anne Accident.
It's not that we take exception to the results and the names we've been given, so much as the spiritual requirements, or rituals proposed, in order for our phenomena to present. Not only is it misleading, but worse it is, as a law, limiting, instead of a freely existing phenomena which is;
... the result of coincidental consequences.
Even those who follow the “law” will attest to the unforeseen and surprising results. Not always positive. And isn't this being read, right now, by someone as the result of the LOA? Willingly or by Anne Accident?
Accidents happen every day, with only a passing thought of how they might have been avoided. Yet are definitely the result of cause and effect. Certainly negative accidents would never have been thought out or spiritually inspired, except perhaps in voodoo; so why would one think that accidents or the LOA could be differently invoked, that is, only result in a positive outcome, being entirely predicated upon a set of thought processes, as opposed to ever more actions. With every action there is a possible LOA or Anne Accident manifestation.
Adam, in one of your articles about the LOA you presented the simple case of someone who decides to go shopping, (The idea) and sets about (The plan) going (Action) to the bus stop to arrive at their planned destination, to carry out the original idea. Waiting for the bus, a friend passes by and asks if you would like a lift. That's us. LOA in it's purest, unpremeditated manifestation.
The true answer is action. Plain and simple. With all the spiritual forethought and positive thinking, nothing can happen without action. Good or bad. If spiritual concentration were, or had the power to invoke thoughts to reality, all people would have won the lotto., married the perfect mate and lived happily for as long as they wanted.
By the way, winning the lotto has many times more potential for exact results than do LOA or Anne Accidental outcome. As there are specific odds. With us, there is no specific or predictable result. There is only the hope, that such phenomena will occur, as the supposed result of intense forethought. But again I stress that it must come from action. That action could be the result of forethought and planning, however intense, or simply the result of being in a certain place, at a certain time.
Adam:
Well, I think we've covered this subject pretty well. In conclusion I say that action gets the traction in the law of attraction. And that Anne Accident is now more recognized to situations of a gloomy outcome. Except in the rare occasions where no pre-thought was given to creating an unexpected product with a positive and useful result.
Oh, I've been meaning to ask, where did you get the name Laurov?
Laurov:
Well you know the Russians routinely proclaim to have invented everything, whether or not true and have adapted LOA as Laurov.., but in Russian ov, is pronounced off.
Ha Ha.. that's funny..
