Is Gravity Holding You Down?

I began to give thought to excuses for not moving ahead. I remembered Les Brown's take on “but”.. when you say, I would, or I could, “but”... you get to keep your limitations. I also recall reading the words of a survivor of a concentration camp saying that no matter what he was deprived of or subjected to, he always had free thought and that could never be taken from him.

Escaping the grip of gravity is not impossible. We can jump, and I think Michael Jordan holds the record for length of air time. Even then for but a few seconds. And we have planes, helicopters, kites and such.

But all these are temporary.

Imagining the ability to fly, to escape gravity physically, brought me to these thoughts.

What power would I need to  master the height, speed, direction and air time. Could I do this simply by mental control, as I do walking, running, lifting my arms or legs. Would it be automatic, or would I need to think about what action I want to take? How far away could I see, or have to be to see details.

(Should I have brought a sweater? A helmet?)

This lead me to consider how high I could go. Into the stratosphere, where I might disappear into thin air... or being unable to breath over 10 or 12000 feet- die? And if so, just hang there, or fall, or go ever higher? Or orbit endlessly, an infinitesimally small satellite? Become a tourist attraction for future space travelers.

And then what about landing. And staying landed. What would prevent me from blowing away. These are all improbable fantasies I concocted to display the unending possibilities of imagination.

But the most interesting point is being able to observe and marvel at our ability to imagine such fantasies, we can really appreciate its unlimited boundaries. Still yet, the observing mind is the master. Or is it? Imagination run amok or by design, either way is answerable to the thinking, observing mind. Otherwise is to be insane.

So now the door is opened. We can escape gravity whenever we please. No more “buts” or being held down by gravity. I just want to say, (before I get any nasty letters), I'm really not anti-gravity... after all without gravity where would we all be?

In essence your free, unrestricted imagination is where The Sky's No Limit begins.

Break the chains that bind you to hand me down limitations and fears which prevent you from moving ahead. See and remove rituals that serve only the purpose to keep you mentally enslaved to an invisible totem pole.

Imagination without action is mental entertainment.
